This week we’ve talked about the imperative things in life, how to make sure they get space, finding your purpose and finding followers who care about your work. Whew! Big week. I’d like to cap it off with a bit of practical application.
The point of what we’ve been talking about is creating space to step back and consider what it is you’re doing and creating a gridwork for understanding it. Now we’re in a place where you can start telling stories that are in alignment with your purpose. This weekend, I’d like to invite you to download The Art of Storytelling and take a crack at telling your story. Choose one thing that happened to you in your ministry this week and write it down.
It probably won’t be the best story ever, but that’s alright. I’m giving you permision to make mistakes and experiment a bit. You’ll be rusty. That’s fine. Just write a story. But only one. Ministry is a marathon. And it’s a bad idea to start training for a marathon by running 26 miles. So just write one.
We’ll see you back here next week.
